Casa en Cruz

The Project   |   Concept Design   |   Gallery

A property set in natural settings featuring large, wooded areas is commissioned.

The work area is a reduced space whose plot is limited to the south by the dense forest that occupies the rest of it.

Faced with this characteristic, a decision was made to work on seeking increased visual length in order to bestow as much sense of depth as possible upon the constructed area, which is achieved by conquering an infinite viewpoint.

To this end, the goal of obtaining a central point of the space is set, a point where all these visuals that travel from infinity might converge and rest, where the eye sees and where people may stop to think, to reflect.

As the most efficient geometrical system to mark a point, and with the orthogonality of its arms encompassing the maximum length of the space, the cross is geometry’s tool of choice to resolve our quest.
